Seniors Achieve MilestonePosted Monday, November 10, 2008 by Steve Versprille The Dublin Fighting Irish 2008 Seniors achieved something that no other senior class in the history of Dublin football can claim. They are four time region champions. They achieved this with a hard fought win at Jefferson County Friday night. Down 12 to 7, Senior Rashard Smith found Anthony Thomas in the back of the end zone for the go ahead score. The defense "bowed their necks" on the next Jefferson County series when a kick to win the game, by the Warriors fell short. Playoffs begin next Friday night, here at the Shamrock Bowl against a tough Central of Macon team.  |
